When you talk about what’s new, you have to start with HondaVac, the vacuum cleaner built right into the van. It seems so obvious now, but it did take until 2014 for someone to think of it. The vacuum is installed in cargo area, and features a long hose and two attachments. We know your kids are messy and sometimes there’s a spill in the second or third row. Now with the HondaVac you’ll be able to sweep out the van on the go. We love the HondaVac and think it’s a true game changer. It comes standard on the Elite Touring model.
“If you want a compact car with a TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating, the 2013 Honda Civic is the only choice,” said Art St. Cyr, vice president of product planning and logistics at American Honda. “We believe this is a distinct competitive advantage, especially as more and more consumers place a premium on crash rating performance.”
Top Safety Pick Plus is the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s newest top ranking, which separates out the best of best for safety. IIHS scores the 2013 Honda Civic Good in the moderate overlap front test results, Good for the small overlap front test, good for side impact test results, and good for roof strength test. To achieve Top Safety Pick Plus status, a vehicle must receive a score of good in at lease 4 of 5 tests and no less than acceptable in the fifth test. Less than 20 vehicles across the United State have been designated as a Top Safety Pick Plus.
This new feature, known as Eyes Free, will be a dealer-installed option for the 2013 Accord. The new application will allow hands-free use of iPhone and iPad technology, including Bluetooth, messaging and directions, reviews and other technology offered already by Siri and Apple.
Later this year, owners with a compatible iPhone running iOS 6 can direct Siri to perform a number of specific tasks while they safely keep their eyes on the road and their hands on the wheel. Using Eyes Free mode, Siri takes hands-free functionality even further and minimizes distractions even more by keeping your iOS device’s screen from lighting up.
There are a lot of 2013 models rolling off the trucks these days, but none were as anticipated as the 2013 Honda Civic.
We finally saw it person today, and it is even more beautiful than the photos at the L.A. Auto Show.
The redesigned front grille and new headlights are a major upgrade over last year’s model. The new chrome piece underneath the grille give the Civic a much sportier look and the long, swooping headlights are a great improvement. The Civic again looks like the car from the Fast and Furious movies, not the car your grandma wants to drive.
Honda has completely redesigned the 2013 Honda Accord, and with its incredible tech and outstanding standard features, we think Honda has changed the Accord for the better.
We’ll get to the appearance changes and great special features, but first let’s talk under the hood.
The 2013 Honda Accord has a new 4 cylinder CVT transmission. CVT is becoming more and more popular because it gives an engine better fuel economy by enabling the engine to run at its most efficient RPM for a range of vehicle speeds.
A new CVT engine in the 2013 Honda Accord is not only more fuel efficient, but it will also be made in our backyard.
The 2013 Honda Accord, coming to dealerships this fall, debuted in its Western Ohio home over the weekend. Along with an updated front-end design, the new Accord will feature an “Earth Dreams” Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
It debuted in Ohio because the CVT will be built in Western Ohio’s Honda Auto Plant. Expansion will create 150 new jobs in the state.
