Honda recently unveiled the newly redesigned Honda Civic Coupe at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show. The Civic Coupe’s 2012 redesign focused on structural, safety, and interior improvements. For 2014 however, Honda is looking towards style and performance.
The Coupe has gained a more aggressive grille, hood, front fenders, and headlight design. You’ll also see new taillight lenses, sportier front and rear bumpers, new side mirrors, and new wheel designs.
The Honda Civic Sedan and Honda Civic Coupe are IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus.
The new Honda Civic in both coupe and sedan models have earned Top Safety Pick Plus Ratings, making them the best of the best in their class for car safety.
In test results announced Thursday, both Honda body styles were the only small cars to earn the top rating of good in IIHS’ new small overlap front crash test. Many vehicles are having problems with this designation, but not the Civic Coupe and Civic Sedan. Small Overlap Front test replicates what happens when the front corner of a vehicle strikes another vehicle or object like a tree or a utility pole.
