2015 Honda Fit earns five-star crash rating

The amazing 2015 Honda Fit has earned the top 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score from that National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This is one of the most important safety awards given to a vehicle, adding to a number of other safety awards claimed by the new Fit this year.

The redesigned 2015 Honda Fit received the perfect overall score, and it also received perfect scores in front and side crashes. In rollover crashes, the Fit received a four out of five star score.

In a vehicle seating five people, NHTSA gave the Fit a five-star score for the driver and all front and rear seat passengers.

It received even more points for coming standard with a backup camera. (Note: Every new 2015 Honda model comes standard with a rear view camera.)

“The Fit shows that owning a smaller car doesn’t mean you need to skimp on space, comfort or crashworthiness,” said Art St. Cyr, vice president of auto operations at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “Honda’s commitment to the safety of our customers and other road users is second to none, and the Fit demonstrates this commitment in a powerful way.”

The Fit also earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick this year.

The new Fit may be the most amazing vehicle on the road today. There are at least five different ways you can configure your new Fit, so five people can “fit” comfortably. Or you can fit a surfboard, bicycle, luggage, potted plant or anything else that you cannot “fit” in any other subcompact.
