REVIEW: 2015 Honda Civic

2015 Honda Civic EX-L

The 2015 Honda Civic has arrived at Waikem Honda as one of the most popular cars on the road today. The Civic remains the best choice in the small car category thanks to a slew of great standard features, incredible fuel economy and great styling.

New in 2015, the Civic offers a new standard roadside assistance and new SE trim that adds even more styling.

The No. 1 reason people choose the 2015 Honda Civic is its wide range of standard features. You don’t have to open the wallet and you’ll still get a backup camera, Bluetooth, SMS Text Message Capabilities, Pandora Capabilities and plugs to play your iPod or MP3 over the speakers.

Many competitors require you to pay a little more for every one of these features, but Honda is giving it to you at the base price.

If you want to go above and beyond what’s the standard, the Civic offers every feature of the modern vehicle. You can get a Civic equipped with a sunroof for the summer and heated leather seats for the winter. The Civic brings the technology of the future here today with a push button ignition system, and also offers great features such as Navigation and Honda SmartLink smartphone integration that includes Aha radio and Apple’s Siri Eyes Free voice command functionality.

A new SE trim is offered for the first time this year. SE fits between the LX and EX sedan trims, and offers 16-inch alloy wheels, HondaLink, automatic cruise control and the right blind spot camera.

Right blind spot camera is one of the most innovative safety features to come around in a long time. Honda has placed a camera on the right (passenger’s) mirror, and when you engage the turn signal or push a button on turn signal stick, the camera displays what’s happening in your right spot, sort of like the traditional backup camera, but even safer than ever before.

Of course the Honda Civic has a standard backup camera, and the HondaLink system also includes an emergency crash notification.

The 2015 Honda Civic received a five-star safety rating from the government’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. In 2014 the Honda Civic Sedan received an IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus, and the Coupe version received the Top Safety Pick Award.

Even with gas prices lower, you still need to save money on fuel, so the Civic is the best choice, reaching up to 39 MPG on the highway on the LX Sedan trim.

The Civic is offered in Sedan, Coupe and Hybrid options.

The Sedan is offered in nine trim levels, and you can get a sedan in seven exterior colors or three fabric choices.

The Hybrid gets up to 47 MPG, and it’s offered in five exterior colors and two color and fabric choices inside.

Of course the Civic SI returns for 2015. This remains one of the most popular affordable performance models on the road today. It’s offered with 205 hp engine, 6-speed manual transmission and plenty of the great features mentioned above. Outside the Civic SI is offered with a rear spoiler and stylish alloy wheels. Get the SI in seven exterior colors and special red and black fabric
