Honda Models Shine in Resale Value Awards

Three of Honda’s top models took home ALG Residual Value Awards this week, one of the most prestigious and important  awards given out in the automotive industry.

Residual Value awards honor the vehicles expected to retain the highest percentage of their retail price after three years.Residual, or resale value, is an important but often overlooked category of the automotive industry. It’s important though to remember that your vehicle is an investment that should have value at the end of your time with the car.

With that said, three Honda models were awarded best in class in the 2015 ALG Residual Value Awards:

“One of Honda’s key priorities is to offer our customers vehicles that hold their value throughout the ownership experience,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division of American Honda Motor Co, Inc. “Our brand is committed to retail sales leadership through top-quality, well-equipped vehicles, and that sets Honda apart in a way that benefits our customers now and in the years to come.”

The 2015 Honda Fit won the Residual Value Award in the sub-compact category for the seventh consecutive year. The Fit was completely redesigned in 2015, coming with all-new styling and great technology innovations.

The Fit revolutionized cargo and people space yet again in 2015, now at least six seat configurations for maximum cargo or people needs. You can even fit a full-sized bike or surfboard in this compact.

The 2015 Honda CR-V was awarded the top Compact Utility Vehicle Award. The CR-V was refreshed for the new year, with updated modern styling outside and new safety features inside.

The new CR-V is filling the trophy case already, as it was named MotorTrend’s Sport Utility of the Year for 2015.

ALG chooses its award winners based on historical date, performance and industry trends. Vehicle quality, production levels relative to demand, and price are among the key factors considered by ALG.

Waikem Honda in Massillon has a great selection of all three of these top models available for you to test drive today. Remember that residual and resale values are some of the important factors to consider when purchasing your next vehicle, so there’s no reason to consider any other vehicles in these segments.
