REVIEW: 2015 Honda Accord

The 2015 Honda Accord returns to our Massillon showroom with some great new technology updates at a low price. With its reputation for performance, reliability and fuel economy, the Accord is still a great choice for anyone.

And did you know that for more than 30 years the Honda Accord has been built right here in the Buckeye State?

The 2015 Honda Accord now offers Honda LaneWatch on the four-cylinder EX Trim. LaneWatch is one of the most innovative and safe options offered on any new vehicle today. You’ve probably heard of the backup camera, right? Well the Accord LaneWatch system has a side view camera mounted on the right side mirror, so with the push of a button or the flick of the right turn signal, the camera displays what is happening in the lane next you to when you are changing lanes or trying to merge. Honda says this camera has a 50-yard range.

That’s probably the biggest change to the new Accord, but it’s also worth noting that the EX-L level Accord now comes with HomeLink universal remote system standard. HomeLink allows users to program the codes up to three devices, such as garage door openers or a security system, and allows you to use them remotely from inside the vehicle. All EX-L models will also come standard with an auto dimming rear view mirror.

But overall, the Accord was recently redesigned, so these are your major changes. But the current configuration of the Accord has been very popular over the past few years as one of America’s highest selling cars. And with a large number of standard features, great styling and even better fuel economy, it’s no wonder so many of your friends and family are still parking Hondas in their driveway.

VEHICLE BROCHURE: 2015 Honda Accord

The best thing about the 2015 Honda Accord is the number of features you get even at the least expensive level. Every single new Honda Accord comes with a rearview camera, keeping you safe and giving you peace of mind when moving in or out of a tight spot.

Technology doesn’t stop there, as every Accord also comes standard with Bluetooth Hands Free Link and SMS Test Message functions, so you won’t have to worry about your phone while driving.

All Accords make driving fun with Pandora Radio Capability, USB and Auxiliary inputs and Bluetooth streaming audio, so you are listening to songs you want to hear, not what the boring traditional radio decides.

Style is huge as well, as each Accord comes standard with alloy wheels.

We already talked about the new Lane Watch system now standard on EX trims, but as you climb up the trim levels, the Accord is available with heated leather seats, leather steering wheel, touch screen center console, sunroof and a push button ignition system.

The 2015 Honda Accord features the popular Earth Dreams Technology under the hood, helping it reach up to 36 MPG highway, the best ever for this Honda model. Every Honda Accord also comes with Eco Assist, a green button on your left side that helps you maximize fuel economy. The Accord will literally coach you into optional fuel economy with bars around the speedomter that change colors when the driver is and isn’t driving economically. The Accord will auto adjust its fuel consuming system as well, helping you maximize fuel economy and keeping you away from the gas pump.

Honda also debuted an Accord Hybrid option in 2014 that carries over into the new year. The Accord Hybrid reaches up to 50 MPG on the highway, and offers three driving options for the perfect blend of performance and economy. The Hybrid doesn’t sacrifice style, though, as you’ll get hybrid-only features including a blue-accented grille and lights, and wheel design unique to this efficient model.

The Accord is a gorgeous vehicle, especially when you add leather on the inside. When your friends and family see you pull up in this model, they are going to think you received a major pay increase, because it looks like a high-end luxury model. You don’t have to tell them how much money you saved if you don’t want to  though.

Choose between 11 exterior color options and there are 12 interior fabric/color combinations, depending on exterior color and trim.

Not only is the Accord a pretty face, but it keeps you safe as well. We’ve already touched on the rear and side view cameras, but the Accord is also an IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus, the highest award given out by the Insurance Institute. It’s also rated five stars with the government’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Every Accord is built with safety in mind, coming standard with Anti-Lock Brakes and side curtain airbags with rollover sensors. The Accord also has an optional forward collision warning system that helps you avoid head-on collisions.

The Accord is the pride of Ohio, as all Honda Accord models are produced right here in the Buckeye State at Honda’s Marysville Ohio Auto Plant. The first Accord was produced their in 1982, and we’ve been proud to see Ohio and Honda grow together for more than 30 years.

The Car Connection:

The Honda Accord has long been one of the most popular entries, in a mainstay of the American market: the mid-size, family-oriented sedan. While the competition has heated up to an unprecedented level over the past several years, with the likes of the savvy, stylish Ford Fusion, the ever-more-value-loaded Hyundai Sonata, and even fresh new entries like the Chrysler 200, the 2015 Accord carries over from last year’s redesign as a model that doesn’t aim to be an outlier, rather a lean, refined, sophisticated model that does it all — with a lot more value than we’ve expected from Honda in the past.

So as you can see, the Accord is still the best choice you and your family can make if you want the perfect blend of safety, fuel economy and style. And buying the Accord is an investment in your local economy, since it’s built right here in the Buckeye State. Waikem Honda is proud to be Stark County’s first choice for Honda, and with our nearly perfect score on all the online review sites, we will treat you right before, during and after the sales process.
