The 2014 Honda Accord features a great list of standard features at any trim.

The 2014 Honda Accord hits the Waikem showroom building off the extremely popular redesign last year. The Accord is now known for a long list of standard features, amazing style and top of the line technology that puts it at the top of the midsized sedan market. Add in that was made in Ohio, and you cannot really go wrong with the Accord.

When you talk about the Accord, you have to start with the features everyone gets. No matter which Honda Accord you choose, it will come with features including a backup camera, Bluetooth, SMS Text Message features, duel climate controls, and Pandora Radio Interface. Most manufactures make you pay extra, Honda gives it to you no matter which trim you pick.

Honda still sells the Honda Accord in both coupe and sedan models. An Accord Hybrid model is new this year, and we’ll cover it more in later blogs.

The Accord is powered by Honda’s 2.4 liter 4 cylinder CVT engine or 6-speed manual transmission. Because of Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology in the engine, the Accord is now fuel efficient than ever. EPA ratings for the Accord reach up to 36 miles per gallon.

To further your fuel economy fun, the Accord comes standard with a green ECON button on all models. Push that button and your Accord will automatically configure itself to help you achieve maximum fuel economy.

Eco Assist moves the dashboard to help you physically see how you are consuming fuel. Green bars light up around the speedometer when you are achieving maximum fuel economy.

The Honda Accord earned an IIHS Top Safety Pick Plus Award. It was one of a handful of vehicles in its class to earn this rating, thanks to its top score of good in the new small overlap front test crash. Small overlap front crashes simulate what happens when a car strikes an object like a tree or pole at a high rate of speed.

Technology doesn’t stop with fuel economy on the all-new Accord. The 2014 Honda Accord features the available LaneWatch technology that may be the safest on the road today. The Accord has the available camera on the passenger’s side mirror that acts the same way as the backup camera. It shows you what’s happening in the next lane over, acting the backup camera for your blind spots.

Another great marriage of technology and safety is the available Lane Departure Warning System. A small camera atop the front windshield monitors lane markings on the road, and it will alert you when you are making an unexpected lane departure.

Another great technology feature is the intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID). This 8-inch screen displays your incoming text messages, Pandora, fuel consumption statistics, and trip range. You can even upload your own photo to serve at the i-MID wallpaper.

Underneath the available i-MID is the touch screen audio system. You can even play your iPod or MP3 player over the speakers through an available USB Audio Interface.

The Honda Accord comes in 12 exterior color choices and 13 different fabric and color choices on the inside. There are plenty of separate trim and package options so you can get the exact Honda Accord you have been looking for.

The Accord is made in Marysville, Ohio, continuing Honda’s 30-plus year relationship with the Buckeye State. Learn more about Ohio’s relationship to the state of Ohio.
