Honda is the top non-luxury brand for customer satisfaction.
That’s according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index, who released its annual study on Tuesday. Honda finished with an 86 out of 100 score, which puts them third overall, just behind luxury brands Mercedes-Benz and Lexus. But no comparable model scored higher than Honda.
Honda customer satisfaction rose 4% compared to last year’s study. One big reason may be the all-new redesigned 2013 Honda Civic and 2013 Honda Accord. Honda listened to drivers, and updated these popular cars to make great standard features like backup camera, Bluetooth and Pandora radio, among other features.
The ACSI report on automobiles is based on interviews with 4,078 customers, chosen at random and contacted via telephone and email between April 6 and May 22, 2013. Customers are asked to evaluate their recent purchase and experiences with automobiles manufactured by the largest companies in terms of market share, plus an aggregate category consisting of “all other” and thus smaller auto nameplates.
As a whole, the automotive industry is fourth in a survey of more than 20-plus industries.
