The Honda brand continues a strong year with a large presence in Consumer Reports annual Top Picks awards.
Three Honda models were awarded best in class in the rankings, which were announced Thursday on their website and will be featured in the April edition of Consumer Reports. As a whole, the Honda brand was in the top 5 of non-luxury models.
2013 Honda Accord: Best Midsized Sedan
The 2013 Honda Accord was completely redesigned for 2013, with a new fuel efficient CVT engine, and a number of standard features that include chrome door handles, backup camera and Pandora radio. The 2013 Honda Accord also features a new available right turn camera — simply put on your right turn signal, and a camera appears on the center console.
Consumer Reports says the 2013 Honda Accord “is roomy, nice to drive, well equipped, and very fuel efficient.”
2013 Honda CR-V: Best Small SUV
The 2013 Honda CR-V builds off what makes the SUV one of the most popular vehicles on the road today. The CR-V topped the Toyota Rav4 in Consumer Reports study. Consumer Reports said its low price in the market helped contribute to the choice. Its outstanding reliability was also a major reason it finished first.
Other reasons Consumer Reports chose the CR-V includes “a smooth, responsive powertrain, good fuel economy, a compliant ride, excellent braking, and a roomy rear seat.”
2013 Honda Odyssey: Best Minivan
The 2013 Honda Odyssey has always been one of the most popular family vans, and it’s truly the ultimate family model. Because it is comfortable, roomy, and quiet ride, Consumer Reports says the Honda Odyssey is the best minivan. It’s also one of the most fuel efficient minivans, and the V6 engine delivers a lot of power.
Backup camera is standard is also standard on all Honda Odyssey models.
