The 2013 Honda Accord was named a finalist for North American Car of the Year.

The redesigned 2013 Honda Accord has been named one of the three finalists for the North American Car of the Year.

The 2013 Honda Accord was completely redesigned for 2013, and as redesigns go, Honda hit a home run. The Accord is gorgeous vehicle that has more standard features than your typical family sedan.

At any trim, the Accord comes standard with a rearview camera, luetooth, duel climate control, alloy wheels, automatic headlights and chrome door handles.

On EX trims and above, you’ll get a push button ignition, something new for the Honda product.

But the best feature of the 2013 Honda Accord is the blind sport camera. This is similar to the backup camera, but it takes it to an entirely new level. Now when you initiate the right turn signal a camera pops up on the center console, showing you what’s happening in the right hand lane.

When you saw the backup camera for the first time, you thought they couldn’t come up with anything better, but Honda has found a way.

The Accord features a 4 cylinder CVT transmission that was made in Ohio. It gets up to 36 MPG, an improvement over previous models.

The Accord  also received an award for Best Retained Value.

The Car of the Year will be announced at the Detroit Auto Show. A panel of journalists and automotive experts will select between 3 finalists. Congrats to Honda!
