United Way honors Dave Waikem

The United Way of Stark County recently honored Dave Waikem for his many years of community service.

Dave, the co-owner of the Waikem Auto Family, received the local chapter’s “CEO of the Year Award,” at the UW of Greater Stark County’s annual meeting breakfast and campaign awards.

The United Way Honored Dave for his many years of contributing the community in positive manner.

Dave has been on boards including: Perry Township Rotary Club, Stark County Library Foundation, Affinity Community Advisory Board, Stark State College Business Advisory Board and Friends of the Stark Parks. Dave Waikem was a previous chairman of Perry Township Police Levies and just joined the Better Business Bureau Board of Directors for 2012.

Dave, along with brothers Doug and Chip, own the Waikem Auto Family. They are the second generation of the family run business started by their father George. Waikem’s third generation, Craig, Chris and Deuce, are also part of the family business.

Congratulations to the family for this major accomplishment.
